dogwalkinghobart.info is an initiative of the Kingborough Dog Walking Association and has been generously supported by the Hobart City Council through their Community Grants Program.

This website was established by the Kingborough Dog Walking Association in August 2006 in response to the steadily increasing demand from the public for an easily accessed and comprehensive information source regarding dog walking within the greater Hobart area.


The walks page provides information about a number of walks, which will appeal to a wide range of interests and fitness levels.


The Kingborough Dog Walking Association and the Hobart Dog Walking Association are represented on this website. These associations actively lobby for improved facilities for dog walking, promote responsible dog ownership and provide a range of social activities.

International day of the dog

The 2008 International Day of the Dog will be celebrated on Sunday 27th April 2008. To mark the occasion a picnic will be organised by the Kingborough Dog Walking Association at the Dru Point off-lead dog exercise area. The event will be a great opportunity to catch up with a picnic lunch and for the dogs to play and socialise in a safe environment. Everyone is welcome, So bring along your dogs and picnic lunch.
