Bicentenial Park Details:-
Information:-Parking is available at the Signal Station carpark and the Truganini Reserve carpark. This is a 130 hectare reserve which stretches from the top of Mt Nelson, on the northern side of the Signal Station, down to Sandy Bay. An extensive network of walking tracks range in grade from a short easy stroll to half day adventures. The track commences from the viewing platform which has an interpretative sign. Access for dogs in this reserve is limited. This walk will give you a taste of the reserve. The compact, well formed, gently sloping track provides views over the Derwent River, Hobart suburbs and the Tasman Bridge. Duckwalks are provided in the wetter areas. Several bench seats are also provided. The initial section of track is easy going and takes approximately 25 minutes. Stratght ahead is Acushla Court or turn right and head down the hill towards Sandy Bay. A short walk leads to Enterprise Road. Access for dogs is prohibited along the track beyond this point. Return via the same route.
